Crispy Cheesy Chicken Fritters Recipe

Ingredients

For the fritters:

  • 500 g chicken breast, finely chopped (not ground)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp corn starch OR flour
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)
  • ½ tsp dried oregano (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped dill or parsley (optional)

For frying:

  • Neutral oil (sunflower, canola, etc.)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Chicken Mixture

  1. Finely dice the chicken breast into tiny cubes (this gives the unique soft texture).
  2. Place chicken in a bowl and add:
    • eggs
    • mayonnaise
    • cheese
    • garlic
    • cornstarch/flour
    • spices
  3. Mix very well until the mixture becomes sticky and thick.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes — this helps it firm up.

2. Fry the Fritters

  1. Heat about 1 cm of oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Scoop the mixture using a spoon and gently place each portion into the pan.
  3. Flatten slightly with the spoon.
  4. Fry 3–4 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
  5. Place on paper towels to remove excess oil.

3. Serve

Serve hot with:

  • garlic dip
  • spicy mayo
  • ranch
  • sweet chili sauce
  • ketchup
