These bars are rich, soft, and fully coated in glossy chocolate. They are perfect for parties, gift boxes, and fridge-friendly desserts.
Ingredients
For the brownie base
- 1 cup (225g) melted butter
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
For the chocolate coating
- 3 cups chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (milk or semi-sweet)
- 3 tbsp coconut oil or 3 tbsp vegetable oil (for smooth, shiny finish)
Instructions
1. Make the brownie batter
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Whisk melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Mix just until combined; don’t overmix.
- Pour into a greased baking pan and spread evenly.
2. Bake
- Bake for 22–28 minutes, depending on thickness.
- The brownies should be soft but set in the center.
- Let them cool completely.
3. Cut into squares
Once cooled, cut the brownies into small bars (the size shown in your photo).
Freeze for 20 minutes — this helps them stay firm when dipped in chocolate.
4. Prepare the chocolate coating
- Melt chocolate + oil in a microwave or double boiler.
- Stir until glossy and smooth.
5. Dip each brownie bar
- Use a fork to dip each square into the melted chocolate.
- Let excess drip off.
- Place on parchment paper and let them set.
Tip: If you want a thick glossy finish like in your image, give them two coats.
6. Chill
Refrigerate for 30 minutes until the chocolate shell hardens.
