Ingredients
For the fritters:
- 500 g chicken breast, finely chopped (not ground)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 3 tbsp corn starch OR flour
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika (optional)
- ½ tsp dried oregano (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped dill or parsley (optional)
For frying:
- Neutral oil (sunflower, canola, etc.)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken Mixture
- Finely dice the chicken breast into tiny cubes (this gives the unique soft texture).
- Place chicken in a bowl and add:
- eggs
- mayonnaise
- cheese
- garlic
- cornstarch/flour
- spices
- Mix very well until the mixture becomes sticky and thick.
- Cover and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes — this helps it firm up.
2. Fry the Fritters
- Heat about 1 cm of oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Scoop the mixture using a spoon and gently place each portion into the pan.
- Flatten slightly with the spoon.
- Fry 3–4 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
- Place on paper towels to remove excess oil.
3. Serve
Serve hot with:
- garlic dip
- spicy mayo
- ranch
- sweet chili sauce
- ketchup
