Glittery Ocean in a Bottle
Ingredients:
- 1 clear plastic bottle or sensory jar (with tight lid)
- 1/2 cup clear glue
- 1–2 cups warm water
- Blue and teal liquid food coloring or watercolor
- Fine and chunky glitter (blue, silver, iridescent)
- Optional: tiny sea creatures, shells, or beads
- Optional: baby oil or clear oil
- Super glue or hot glue
Directions:
- Begin by filling your plastic bottle about 1/3 full with clear glue. This will form the base of your ocean.
- Pour warm water into the bottle, leaving some space at the top for mixing and movement. Secure the lid and shake the bottle well to mix the glue and water thoroughly.
- Add 1–2 drops of blue or teal food coloring to the mixture. Shake or stir gently to combine until you achieve your desired ocean color.
- Next, pour in a mix of fine and chunky glitter, ensuring a variety of sizes and shades to create a dynamic and sparkly effect that resembles the ocean.
- If desired, carefully drop in small ocean-themed toys, beads, or shells to enhance the visual appeal and add an interactive element.
- To create a slower wave movement in your ocean, top off the bottle with more warm water or a small amount of baby oil or clear oil.
- Once filled, seal the lid tightly using hot glue or super glue. This step is crucial to prevent any leaks and ensure the contents stay securely inside the bottle.
- Finally, gently tilt, shake, and swirl the bottle to watch the glittery ocean come to life, creating mesmerizing waves and sparkles.
