Ingredients (serves 1):

  • 1 oz dark rum
  • 1 oz overproof rum (for a bold kick)
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • ¾ oz lime juice (fresh)
  • ½ oz passion fruit syrup
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • Dash of bitters
  • Ice cubes
  • Pineapple leaf, lime wheel, and optional flaming lime shell (for garnish)*

Instructions:

  1. Shake it bold:
    In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine dark rum, overproof rum, pineapple juice, lime juice, passion fruit syrup, simple syrup, and a dash of bitters.

  1. Shake hard:
    Shake well for 10–15 seconds until chilled.

  1. Strain and pour:
    Strain into a tiki mug or rocks glass filled with fresh ice.

  1. Garnish tropical-style:
    Garnish with a pineapple leaf and lime wheel. For flair, float a lime shell filled with overproof rum and carefully ignite it for a fiery presentation.*

*Always use caution with open flames. Extinguish before drinking.
