Chocolate Cream for Cake Filling and Topping
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 cup water
Preparation:
1. Mix the ingredients:
In a saucepan, add the water and cornstarch, mixing until fully dissolved.
Add the cocoa powder and stir well until combined.
Incorporate the sugar and melted butter, mixing until smooth.
2. Cook the chocolate cream:
Place the saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring constantly.
When the mixture starts to boil, let it cook for 1 more minute to thicken slightly.
Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
3. Use the cream:
Once cooled, use it to fill or cover cakes, cupcakes, or desserts.
It can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
