3-Ingredient Butter Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Cream Butter and Sugar:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
Add Flour:
Gradually incorporate the all-purpose flour into the butter-sugar mixture, mixing gently until a smooth dough forms.
Shape the Cookies:
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Gently press each ball down with a fork to create a crisscross pattern on top.
Bake:
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies turn a light golden brown.
Cool:
Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes.
Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
Notes:
Ensure the butter is softened to room temperature for easier mixing.
Avoid overmixing the dough after adding the flour to maintain a tender texture.
For added flavor, consider mixing in a teaspoon of vanilla extract or a pinch of cinnamon.
